Composts, manures are generally screened to remove debris via shaker screens  (below) prior to bagging.

STATIONARY VIBRATORY SCREEN

bmmchipscreen.jpg

The stationary screen (above) can be custom designed, but generally is 3-13 feet wide and 8-20 feet long, with 1-3 decks, 300 RPM operating speed at a 2" diameter stroke,  with  5-20 HP TEFC, 1800 RPM motor.

When bagging by weight, electronic scales, such as a gross weigh ( below, right) or net weigh (left), are used for products weighing 25-50 pounds. They can be either mild or stainless steel, and generally are equipped with either belt feeders or a gravity gate. For more automated, integrated systems, the Model CV-3080 vertical form-fill-seal system is available (*click on photo for more information).

Poly bag sealers are shown in both scale photos, but go to next page (click on "Additional Equipment", top of page), for equipment, including sealers and more automated systems.

NET WEIGH BAGGING SCALE+SEALER

For relatively-free-flowing compost products, a net weigh scale with overhead belt feeder and continuous bag sealer can provide up to some 900 bags/hour.
